Nov. 1, 1994, marked the
debut of the RE/MAX Satellite Network, the first and still the only such service
offered by any major real estate franchise company. The centerpiece of RE/MAX
technology, RSN is revolutionizing the RE/MAX organization, disseminating
training, professional education and the entire corporate culture across the
international network.
Without the time and
expense of travel, RE/MAX Associates and administrative staffs benefit daily
from RSN educational programming. It is availablein many RE/MAX offices, and
U.S. agents can receive it at home.
The culmination of
decades of RE/MAX experience, RSN is the ultimate educational and synergizing
medium created to keep RE/MAX top producers "Out in Front" into the new
millennium.
RSN is the fulfillment of a RE/MAX dream of instantaneous communication. Created
within a year's time, the satellite network broadcasts educational programming
directly to more than 1,400 RE/MAX subscriber offices representing more than
20,000 Associates and 10,000 administrative staff members.
The monthly programming
is free to all RE/MAX offices. It is also available to U.S. Associates in their
homes.
RE/MAX Satellite Network will present timely, accurate educational programming
to help licensees provide quality service to consumers and enhance
professionalism within the real estate industry.
Since the network's inception, RSN has presented Accredited Buyer Representative
(ABR) and Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) courses. Thousands of
RE/MAX Associates have participated in RSN broadcasts of Real Estate Buyer
Agency Council (REBAC) courses leading to the ABR designation. RSN also offers
courses providing credit toward the Certified Residential Specialist (CRS),
Accredited Buyer Representative Manager (ABRM), Certified International Property
Specialist (CIPS), Seniors Real Estate Specialist (SRES), Certified Real Estate
Brokerage Manager (CRB) and Registered Relocation Specialist (RRS) designations.
RSN viewers registering for the courses can earn credit toward those
professional designations.
RSN regularly airs live continuing-education courses. In states that approve
these courses for CE credit, they are open to any licensee whether or not
they're affiliated with RE/MAX.
RSN is also the major medium for computer training and use of other RE/MAX
technologies, including RE/MAX Agent 2000 Skill Series, RE/MAX Office 2000 Skill
Series, RE/MAX Roster Explorer and RE/MAX Mainstreet. Also regularly offered is
training for software products such as Quicken, MS Publisher, MS Word, MS
Outlook, MS Powerpoint and WordPerfect.
From panels of RE/MAX superstars sharing their expertise to taped presentations
of top industry educators and celebrity motivators, RSN programming multiplies
educational opportunities for RE/MAX people. New programs on personal promotion
and recruiting have been produced in Spanish.
The rich variety of RSN programming is showcased in the glossy, four-color RSN
Program Guide, published quarterly.
The listings and program descriptions are also available online through RE/MAX
Mainstreet.
The star of RSN's series of home videos is the award-winning "Kids' Survival
Guide to Moving." Other RSN productions include real estate basics for support
staff, and adult survival guides to buying a home and moving.
